This is a fairly level course, but don’t let that fool you. It is heavily wooded, and more than one golfer has claimed to have lost a ball to a hungrychipmunk. The original nine holes were built in the 1920s; the second nine wasn’t added until the 1950s. Architects Bob Baldock and Robert Muir Graves have helped to improve this course.
The first hole is a par 5 from an elevated tee box. Long hitters can reach the water on the right. Approach shots are uphill to a relatively flat green protected by two bunkers.
